History of ISOEN
The first symposium was held in 1994 in parallel to the EUROSENSORS conference in Toulouse (France). Since that time the symposia have been held annually in either Europe, Nice (France), Tübingen (Germany), Brighton (UK), Rome (Italy), Riga (Latvia), or in the USA (Miami, Baltimore, Washington). Since 2003 it was decided to organise the conferences once every 2 years. The last ISOEN took place in Barcelona in 2005.
